I have used PCs almost all of my life, and have never owned a Mac. I had bought an HP dv1000 laptop 3 months ago, but soon decided I wnated something that had more performance. After using Macs in the school computer labs I investigated Apple and was attracted to the PowerBook due to its performance and aesthetics. I ended up buying the new 15-inch widescreen 1.67GHz Power PC Apple PowerBook, following is a review of this notebook.

    Acer Aspire 5002 Notebook Review (pics, specs)

    The 15.4″ WXGA screen Acer Aspire 5002 notebook comes in somewhere between being a budget laptop and regular mainstream notebook. It comes with a nicely performing AMD Turion 64 ML-30 processor, but suffers from a poor graphics chip and limited number of ports.
